Tulip Tree Indiana’s state tree is the tulip tree, a member of the magnolia family. The tulip tree can reach the height of 100 ft. or more, and matures very quickly. It has a very straight trunk measuring 2 to 4 feet in diameter. It is a valued timber species as well as being a forest giant. When Abe Lincoln (former U.S. president) cut logs for his cabin, the logs were probably from a tulip tree. Daniel Boone most of the time used the wood to build canoes. I think the tulip tree is a very cool tree.
We wish you good luck in this project interesting and very nice!
