Partnership Kapolei Middle School –Pilot program –Researchers will work with teachers Create curriculum aligned with standards Create laboratory assignments across all grade levels aligned with episodes Help guide the direction of the episodes SEA-IT-LIVE

Timeline: Pilot Project Funding (Dave Karl) –Goal is to have pilot episode and corresponding classroom activities finalized by January 2010 NSF grant proposal submitted June 24, 2009 –For funding starting 2010 –Long term goal to offer PDCP course for episode and classroom curriculum development SEA-IT-LIVE

Timeline: Pilot Project –Pre-developed episode concept (overarching theme aimed to fit 6 th,7 th,and 8 th grade) –Teacher input on episode content and classroom activities (lab) fitting the theme Articulation days 1. Match standards to overarching theme 2. Teachers bring current activities for the above standards 3. Share current activities 4. Brainstorm and develop new or modified activities SEA-IT-LIVE
