New Corporate Online Induction System Guidance Notes
When a new employee is appointed the Manager needs to register them on the induction system. To do this the Manager should go to the HR intranet site A-Z list and click ‘I’ and ‘Induction Online Checklist’. Clicking on this link will open the Induction Welcome Page. The Manager receives an containing a link and a unique pin number. Step 2 of 7: The manager receives their access information via Manager’s with induction system link and pin number
The Manager logs into the induction system using the link provided, and by entering their address and pin number, begins the employee’s induction. Step 3 of 7: Logging into the online checklist Induction checklist Welcome Menu
The Manager begins by working through the Prior to Employment section of the induction, contained within the Standard Induction section. Step 4 of 7: Completion of the ‘Prior to Employment’ section Prior to Employment Section
The Manager clicks the radio buttons alongside each item to show they are either Complete or Not Applicable (N/A). Notes can also be added and additional information is available. If a mistake is made then a row can be reset by clicking ‘Clr’. Changes must be saved by clicking the button at the bottom of the page. Step 5 of 7: Using the Checklist
When the employee starts work the Manager can automatically send them an from the system containing a link and their pin number, by clicking the “Send Employee Access Details” button. The employee and the Manager can then both log into the checklist and complete the Standard and Health and Safety sections together. The employee can then work through the links in the Human Resources and Corporate information in their own time. Step 7 of 7: The manager explains to the employee how to use the checklist
Other Information Percentage complete is shown on the homepage so both the Manager and new employee can see progress. HR will log into the administration side of the system periodically to check on usage and to send out automatic reminders to Managers with incomplete induction checklists. The checklist items can be amended through the administration side of the site. A printable version of the checklist will be made available for Managers and employees without access to a computer.
