A Step by Step Powerpoint to bring you through the steps of making a hit video game WELCOME TO GAME DESIGNING

STEP #1: GETTING STARTED Hello! I will take you through the steps of making a hit video game. As you know, some new games came out that you might me interested in. for example, Black Ops 2, Assassins creed 3, and HALO 4. As you will see, I will help you to make a video game! Lets get started! You want to figure out what game you want you game to be. So you want it to do an first person shooter. What would the idea be of this game? You want a new Kirby!? Oh… good. You want a new Black Ops don’t you… well ok! Lets think for a second, what should the plot line be? PLOT LINE: It is You wake up from an Coma. You are stranded in a desert, you are all alone. Ypu have no memory of what happened before you woke up. You only have a MP7 and a water cantal. Out of now where, a plane comes out and says they are here to bring you back to your team. They bring you back to there base. You are put in a small guest bedroom. They say not to wander. You start to wander, just a little bit. You are very exited that you get to work here, until you over here the captain. “When should we blow up the New York sir?” says the driver “On the summer solstice, first lets get rid of our… prisoner” Then for the rest of the game you try to escape alive, and you have to go back to your REAL team and save new york.

FIRST STEP: PROTICAL You need to get a team together for your new hit game. This can take about a moth to 2 weeks. It’s a long time but it is worth getting a good team and get millions of dollars. Once you have a team, you need to makes plans for your game. This includes meetings, jobs, sallary, e.t.c. After that you need to make your story board. That is the whole story of the game.

SECOND STEP: DESIGN LAYOUT Now that you have your story planned out for your game you need to the extra stuff that goes along with it. This includes Prolouge, Extra characters, Starting with the main coding for the story plan, and the game triggers. Game Triggers is when you trigger something in the code when you do an action. This is also where you start to prepare your crew for all the bugs. Fun Fact! There are at least 75 bugs the first time you Test the game you made

THIRD STEP: DEVELOPMENT This is the main part for the coding. This can go of two ways. The first one is that you make a 2D game like Mario. This can take about two and a half weeks to code for the first test. If you want to do a 3D game like a first person shooter than it can take about a year or two to make the whole game.. Now that you have your idea and while your crew is coding the game you need to get started on advertising.

STEP FOUR: PUBLICITY While your crew is working on the coding for your multi-million dollar game, you need to get the word out to the gamers. By advertising you can increase the money you earn to millions that you can use for special equipment or to make another game. You can do anything. But I think you want to get rich. So you should set up a gaming both at the worlds largest gaming convention; E3. E3 takes the 20 most greatest games to be played, holding tourniments. If you advertise their and set up a playing booth you can get your game known. You can also pay stores to put up signs up for your game for pre order. E3 is for all rated games. Rating are how the are tested. The ratings are… (RP) rating pending, (EC) Early Childhood, (E) Everyone, (E10+) Everyone 10 and Up, (T) Teen, and (M) Mature.

CONCLUSION Games are very hard to create. They can take up to 2-5 years to create! Not only that you can become famous for your work you can also make millions of dollars just with one game. After the game comes out and the money comes rolling in and you and your team could take a break for about a month or two then you could go back to the drawing board for a sequel of the game. You don’t get a lot of breaks as a game developer. If you like to be lazy and sleep during the week, I don’t want to pop your bubble but you wont make a game unless you get out of that habit!
