Why a training package? Main goal Main goal: To create a tool that allows any user in Europe to get practial an easy to understand information about the various assistive technologies and services available to improve the quality of live and increase the autonomy of the users.

Target based The content is focused to an audience: Elderly people. Disabled people. Dependent people. Policy makers. Education professionals in the field of social assistance. Other main goal is to influence the creation of academic telecare contented as well as transfer knowledge to technical fields and teachers from different administrations. Training Packages

Telecare and Technology solutions in Europe: 1.SOCIAL ALARM. 2.TELEHEALTH. 3.SMART HOMES. 4.SOCIAL COMMUNICATIOS TECHNOLOGIES. 5.TELECARE.

Telecare and Technology solutions in Europe: 1.SOCIAL ALARM. This term is used to explain that this service consists only a ‘panic’ button. 2.TELEHEALTH This term is used to explain that this service is refered to the use of ICTs oriented to medically care services: a. Telemonitoring (Blood presure, blood glucose.) b. Teleconsultation (on line by videophone, by telephone. c. Telerehabilitation (by videophone).

Telecare and Technology solutions in Europe: 3.SMART HOME: These homes are provided of environmental control, home automation and home network systems that can help older people to remain living independently in their own homes. 4SOCIAL COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES: 4.SOCIAL COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES: One key goal is to promote and enhance interaction, participation, and avoid of social isolation. It’s shown that good social contacts are associated with better health and well-being, in fact ASSDA is piloting a social network for elderly.

Telecare and Technology solutions in Europe: 5.Telecare : Is the term now commonly used to describe a range of enhancements to the basic social alarm service concept. This service is not just a remote alarm, as it can offer other services such as follow-ups (health, personal death, just to know how are...), you can also congratulate the birthday, make reminder calls to intake medications, medical appointments and others. Users can call any time of day to ask anything or just start a conversation.
