Euthanasia Euthanasia is the act of killing or permitting the death of another in a relatively painless way to ease suffering. Euthanasia is illegal in our society but is practiced often in the Giver Community. If identical twins are born the smaller is killed. Euthanasia is also practiced on the old and rule breaking members of the community. An article on euthanasia by Tony Sheldon (February 24, 1996) states, Currently doctors performing euthanasia face criminal prosecution for murder. Local coroners drop charges if strict criteria are met regarding consultation, patients' voluntary and enduring wish to die, and patients' unbearable and hopeless suffering. The legal defense says that doctors face a conflict of interest between the desire to relieve suffering and the desire to preserve life.

Animals Animals are a huge part of life in our society. Not only do they provide us with companionship, and in some cases food, but animals can also be good for your health. The Giver community eliminates the bond between people, and sadly the bond between man and animal as well. According to Living with a cay or dog can lower you blood pressure. Heart attack victims survive longer if they have a dog to share their lives with. Stroking your cat or dog can block transmission of pain According to a long-term study, people who adopt dogs are more active and get more healthful exercise - this is especially true for the elderly Just stroking a dog or cat can boost your mood-boosting chemicals and relieve stress Exposure to animals early in life can prevent allergies and asthma by helping your body build defenses and by building up your immune system.

Colors Colors play a big part in our everyday life. Everything around us has a color. With out them it would be much harder to describe what you see, but the influence color has is much more than that. Color is yet another thing that can provoke feelings, and according to the below article much more. An article from states, Color plays a vitally important role in the world in which we live. Color can sway thinking, change actions, and cause reactions. It can irritate or soothe your eyes, raise your blood pressure or suppress your appetite.

Conclusion In conclusion, we would like to assure you that by remaining in our current society, you will be able to experience life. Life consisting of real emotions, color, animals, and individuality. You will continue to live in a place where human life is valued, and euthanasia illegal. However, if you move to the Giver community, you will be condemned to an empty life handed to you by others. Choose to be free, be anti Giver Community.
