Strategic steps: 1.Development of health strategy based on ‘Action Health School Approach’. This includes the following topics: Immunization of children and mothers both Personal Hygiene Breast Feeding / Nutrition Growth Monitoring Prevention and management of Minor Illness of children Preventive measures from ‘Major Killer diseases’ of Children under 5 years Significance of Antenatal and Post Natal Care for mother. Importance of Safe Delivery Women Nutrition

Strategic steps: 2. Orientation & training of Field Staff, Community Teachers and Government Teachers involved in ECD program on ‘Action Health School Approach’. 3. Orientation and meeting with National Program Officials to involve the Lady Health Workers as facilitator in ECD activities at community level 4. Development of guidelines of women support group formation and counseling techniques teaching material for LHWs 5. Orientation and training of LHWs in ECD related issues, Action Health School Approach and the skills regarding the Women support group and Counseling.
