Mentoring Students The Vice Chancellor noted that the new University administration will focus on mentorship of students with sound curriculum. “We shall enrich our research and service. There must be evidence that lives have been improved by University endeavours, “he said. The University management led by the Vice-Chancellor is keen on ensuring that the research at the University does not end in thesis being placed in library shelves, but in changing the lives of Kenyans. He said that the University is keen on looking for new partnerships.

Sharing Vast Wealth of Knowledge Regarding the resource potential of our professors, the Vice-Chancellor noted that it would be wastage to have a professor teach in one university, but through agreed arrangement, the professors can teach in several universities to share their wealth of knowledge. He extended an invite to Dr. Adiel N. Mbabu, Regional Operations Director, International Potato Centre, for a public talk to share his knowledge on food security with the university community.
