Questions?

Linking teachers to funding David Jack School and Pupil Statistics Learning Analysis Scottish Government

This session: Introduction Breakout sessions Feedback

Introduction We need to develop a way to identify how money received through political initiatives is spent by LAs. Scottish Attainment Challenge backed by a new Attainment Scotland of £100m over the next four years. Glasgow, Dundee, Inverclyde, West Dunbartonshire, North Ayrshire, Clackmannanshire and North Lanarkshire are the first beneficiaries of the fund.

Why is this important for September Census? Teachers recruited and funded through the Attainment Challenge Fund must be additional to the teachers required by a local authority to meet their commitment to maintaining teacher numbers. Therefore Authorities will need to be clear about the additional teachers funded through the Attainment Challenge Fund. SG December Statistical Bulletin will report based on all teacher FTE of GTCS registered teachers in complement.

Breakout session (Questions to consider) This September – what is best way to record and send info on teachers who are employed using Attainment Challenge funding? Next year and beyond – what is the best way to do this?
