Major Board Accomplishments Licensure ◦ Increased electronic renewals from 79% to 89% Practice ◦ Managed 83 formal complaints ◦ Disciplined 27 licenses Education ◦ Approved the first Medication Assistant program to be administered by LCSC ◦ Denied the application to plan AD/RN program at Brown-Mackie College, Boise Governance ◦ Active member of the Nurse Licensure Compact ◦ Active member of the RWJ/AARP Citizens to Champion Nursing in America Initiative ◦ Adopted revised Values ◦ Amended the Idaho Nursing Practice Act to extend Board member terms Communication ◦ Published and distributed five newsletters ◦ Created “Frequently Asked Questions” for LPNs ◦ Presentations to 24 separate groups
