Increase the engagement of nursing in the prevention, detection and management of NCD’s Assist with identification of standards Identify population standards for Pacific peoples Identify best practices of nursing care of people with NCD’s in the Pacific
Increase engagement of nursing in prevention, detection and treatment of emerging infectious diseases Upon request partner with PBMA to identify minimum standards for prevention, diagnostic, treatment and referral standards for emerging infectious diseases
Cultivate Human Resources for Health: Professional nursing education, continuing education and nursing support staff Seamless progression through all levels of education in the USAPI Strengthen nursing education in the USAPI (faculty development, student success, curriculum and resources) Increase APNLC member input into HRH plans as they are developed
Chief Nurses Committee: focusing on nursing leadership and management (noted number one priority of the committee) Education Committee: PINNED project focused on strategic plan, RN to BS, and nursing faculty development
