How to access online textbook resources AND edmodo.com Sra. Taylor 1

First begin with a few simple steps… 1.Find Sra. Taylor’s website (can also find by visiting Hadley staff pages) 2. On left hand side, click on “7th Grade ONLINE TEXTBOOK” 2

Logging into the textbook website 1.Use your username and password to log into the website. 2.If this is your first time logging in, please accept the “terms of use” and the “privacy policy” 4

I’ve logged in…..now what? 1.Click on the link “Go to the Online Textbook” 5

6 2.Find the drop down box titled “Select a unit or chapter” on the upper left hand side of the screen. Find your current unit of study. Click the orange “Go!” button **Today we are working with Unidad 1: Lección 1**

Once you have selected your unit of study….. You can browse a digital copy of our textbook. Use the “Previous” and “Next” buttons to scroll from page to page. Or type in a specific page number. 7

What else can I do besides read pages from the textbook? Complete interactive practice activities (yes, even the ones we have already done in class ) Listen to Native Speakers read dialogues. Just click the headphone on the page. 8

What else can I do besides read pages from the textbook? You can also watch vocabulary videos. Just click on the TV/DVD icon the any page. 9

Can I find an extra copy of the vocabulary words and grammar? On the second drop down box click on “En resumen”. You will be taken to a webpage with both the vocabulary and grammar for your unit of study. 10 YES!!!

What if I need extra practice? Click on the “Student Resources” tab at the top of the page. Then click Tutor” 11

@ Home Tutor From the drop down box find “Illinois” and click “Go” Enter your first name. Determine the level at which you would like to be challenged. (Start at level A and work your way up to level C before the quiz) Hit “enter” on your keyboard, then select your unit of study on the left hand side. 12

@ Home Tutor Click on the aspect of the chapter you would like to review. Remember that you can always change the difficulty of the activities. 13 Once we have covered the entire chapter, there are even some review games you can play

Your assignment…. 15  Log onto our textbook website.  Click the “Student Resources” tab on the top menu.  Tutor.

La Tarea Log onto the textbook website. Log Tutor. Find our unit of study. (Unit 1: Lesson 1) – Complete the vocabulary practice activities for our unit. These activities must be completed in “Level C” (Challenge). Once you have completed all 5 activities hit “session report” at the bottom of the screen. to your teacher or print it and bring it to class on 18

1. Visit If you have never used edmodo before, or have forgotten your username or password, Click on “I’m a student” If you already have an account, enter your username and password. 19

2. Enter required information. Use your Hadley username and password. Sra. Taylor will tell you the group code. The group code is_____________. Then, Click Sign up. 20
