Fantastic Tales Project This project will help my students develop 21 st century skills by: Collaborating with peers. Interviewing family members Creating and presenting a multimedia project about family stories Comparing and contrasting literature including several genres of tales

Gauging Student Needs Assessment Purpose of the Assessment To gather information about what students already know and what they wonder about types of tales. What I want to learn from my students? I want to find out what they already know about the Unit Questions. How I have tried to promote higher-order thinking? I ask students to find relationships and draw conclusions about tales and how they relate to each other and to history. How the assessment information helps me and my students plan for upcoming activities in the unit? The assessments let me know if the students are grasping the information that is being covered. Assessments let me know who needs help with a particular concept and which students need to be grouped together to work. What feedback or additional ideas Id like? I am open to any suggestions.

Students will create and present a multimedia project Students will gain knowledge about tales and their structure and content Students will be able to compare/contrast different types of tales Students will have fun and enjoy the unit My Goals for the Unit
