 In this system the heart pumps blood through vessels. Blood carries oxygen and nutrients to cells, and cells help regulate acid, base, temperature, and water components of the body fluid. Blood components help defend against disease and mend damaged blood vessels. The blood also carries carbon- dioxide and other waste away from cells.

 This system is though out the whole body.  There is six different parts in this system: veins, arteries, aorta, Superior vena cave, and the inferior vena cave.  In order for blood to be pumped the heart must pump.  Movement of materials into and out of your cells occurs by diffusion.

 Diffusion occurs when a material moves from an area where there is more of it to an area where there is less of it.

 I chose this system because I wanted a system that talks and deals with the heart. I also picked this system because I liked to research how oxygen goes in and carbon – dioxide comes out of the cells. This system helped me see how the heart pumps blood, and how we breathe.

 This system is so important. Without this system the heart wouldn’t pump. The heart pumping is how we live. Also this system helps breathe properly. For example if the body just gave us oxygen, that means the trees wouldn’t get carbon – dioxide because we’re suppose to breath that out so they can breathe. Which also means the trees would die,but that not good for us because they help us breathe. That not how I want the world to end.

 For my model I basically just found things around the house. The things I used were :  Paint – to paint the heart  Cardboard –body, heart  Yarn – arteries  Marker – veins  Paper Towel Rolls - heart

 First I drew a body on my cardboard.  Then I took my yarn (red),and hot glued the yarn on the cardboard in the spots it needed to be.These are the arteries.  After this, I made the veins. I got a marker (blue), and drew them on the cardboard in the spots it needed to be.  For the heart I took a piece of cardboard, cut it in the shape of a human heart

 Cut it out, and painted it. While it was drying I made the arteries and veins that are connected to the heart.  I took a paper towel roll and unrolled it where it looked like a flat surface. I cut it into fours. I took one of the fours, rolled it up, glued it and then painted that also.  I took a paper towel roll and unrolled it where it looked like a flat surface. I cut it into fours. I took one of the fours, rolled it up, glued it and then painted that also.  When both of them dried, I took the arteries and veins cut slits on both sides and put it on the heart.

 Since this is the last piece of the whole project, I hot glued the heart to the cardboard.  That is how I made my Science Project!!!!!!!!!

 From this project I’ve learned that without the human body systems we would have no body at all. The cardiovascular system has a big part in our body. It helps us breath, pumps blood though our whole body, gives us nutrients, and much more I don’t even know about. This project help me realize what going on in our body.
