How will we get there? Good Student Behaviors Being Prepared Effective Communication Independent Time Management Responsibility of Knowledge

Being Prepared  I bring in my homework.  I have my materials.  I keep my work space neat and organized.  I know what is expected of me in my school and classroom.  I come to school on time.  I have had a good night’s rest and am ready to think and work.

Effective Communication  I ask my teacher questions.  I ask my classmates questions.  I ask questions not only when I don’t understand, but also to encourage deeper thinking.  My questions and responses are thoughtful.  I listen to what others are saying so I can respond back.  I use polite words to offer suggestions and critiques.

Independent Time Management  I know what to do so I am NEVER wasting valuable learning time.  I know how to use an appropriate voice level for different places and activities.  I make appropriate choices for myself.  I help my classmates get back on track when they lose focus.  I am accepting of others’ help when I lose focus.

Responsibility of Knowledge  I study my notes.  I independently follow through on assignments even when I’m not being directly monitored.  I ask questions about things that I don’t understand.  I make sure I share what I know with my classmates.  I follow instructions as they are given.
