Q & A with the Candidates Please briefly tell us about yourself. Question 1: Why are you the right person for this job? What would you do the same or differently than the current BOE?

Question 2: There has been a lot of discussion regarding Common Core, as well as the accompanying PARCC Assessments. Do you have any concerns about the implementation of both for HCPS? Q & A with the Candidates

Question 3: It’s no secret that there has been a lot of disagreement between the county executive, the county council, the Board of Ed and the Superintendent recently regarding funding for the school system. How do you plan to create a more cooperative atmosphere for us to move forward?

Q & A with the Candidates Question 4: Many schools have had major changes to their schedules, including 4th tier elementary schools and magnet program students, due to cuts to the transportation budget. Do you think this was a satisfactory solution to closing the budget gap? What other ways do you see that HCPS can make cuts?

Q & A with the Candidates Question 5: Pending a budget that does not get fully funded – what are your top 3 priorities for funding? How do you go about making it happen?

More Questions ? Comments? Commendations? Concerns? Thank you for coming!
