How do I find the book I want? How are all those books organized?

Call Numbers Group of numbers and/or letters Located on spine of book Sequenced to help us locate book Fiction call numbers different from non- fiction

Non-fiction Call Numbers Consists of: Dewey Decimal Classification Number First three letter of the authors last name

Dewey Decimal Classification System organizes information into 10 broad groups 000 – Generalities 100 – Psychology & Philosophy 200 – Religion 300 – Social Sciences 400 – Languages 500 – Natural Science 600 – Applied Science 700 – Fine Arts & Recreation 800 – Literature Geography & History
