Energy Smart Schools Program Who: John Hargrove, NV Energy, with Andy DuMond, Dale Sanderson, Isaac Moubarek, & Shawn Breker, CLEAResult, Contractors to NV Energy What: Energy Efficiency (EE) Upgrades When: 2005 to Present Why: Assist NV Energy served schools to improve their facilities and reduce their electric bills How: Provide incentives in the form of technical assistance and cash rebates for EE upgrades

Energy Smart Schools Program Energy Savings by year : –2006 – 8.2 million kWh –2007 – 6.1 million kWh –2008 – 10.7 million kWh –2009 –9.1 million kWh Total 91 million kWh –2010 – 4.4 million kWh –2011 – 22.6 million kWh –2012 – 15.5 million kWh –2013 – 14.4 million kWh

Energy Smart Schools Program Rebates and Dollar Savings: Approximately $3,347,000 paid in cash incentives. At $0.11/kWh * = The schools save about $10M annually in reduced electric costs. Incentives in the form of technical support? Impossible to calculate. *Estimated kWh rate
