What is AR?  AR = Augmented Reality  NOT virtual reality  Enhanced reality  a growing field of technology where real life is modified and enhanced by computer-generated sights and sounds. (Basically AR is bringing print to life.)  Allows people to not only view the world around them, but to interact with the world around them.

AR Statistics  When viewing Interactive Print content, users click the items 87% of the time  Mobile Augmented Reality apps are expected to generate $5.2 billion in revenues by 2017  Customers are 165% more likely to buy a product when it includes an AR marketing component  Source: ( reality/) reality/

AR - terminology  AR = making something come to life  Trigger image = the picture that starts the video/audio which is the overlay  Overlay = the video or audio that will be applied on top of the trigger (the still image)  Aura = the magic thing that pops up when you hold your device (cell phone or tablet) over the picture (trigger image)
