- recognizing patterns and relationships - solving different kinds of problems through logic - playing number and logic games - solving various kinds of puzzles.

- reading, writing, & speaking - taking notes - playing word or card games - using flashcards - participating in conversation and discussions

- keeping a journal of your observations - Independent projects, such as book logs - reflecting on what you’ve learned - using flashcards - putting yourself in someone else’s situation, i.e. “If I were the President, I would…”

- expressing oneself or learning through physical activities - constructing learning tools (such as a model or diorama) - playing active games - acting out a scene - using manipulatives to solve problems or to learn - taking field trips

- writing lyrics to a tune to help you memorize - singing a song to help you understand (i.e. Schoolhouse Rocks) - making a rhythm or catchy phrase (i.e. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally)

- creating and manipulating mental images (visualizing) - using graphic organizers - using flow charts - illustrating notes with pictures - solving mazes or crossword puzzles - using your imagination
