What is Self-Concept?  The view that you have of yourself and the way that other people see you, including:  The way you feel about different issues  What is important to you  What you like and don’t like  Who you like to be with  What you do well  What you need to improve on

Developing a Positive Self-Concept  Concentrate on what you do well  Don’t be too hard on yourself  Ask people you trust for help, when needed  Try new things  Don’t read too much into each look or word
