Objectives National Scholarships Portal- An initiative of PMO Launched by Hounrable Prime Minister Of IndiaNational Scholarship Portal (NSP) is one-stop solution through which various services starting from student application, application receipt, processing, sanction and disbursal of various scholarships to Students are enabled This initiative aims at providing a Simplified, Mission-oriented, Accountable, Responsive & Transparent 'SMART' System for faster & effective disposal of scholarship applications and delivery of funds directly into beneficiaries account. Objectives Ensure timely disbursement of Scholarships to students Provide a common portal for various Scholarships schemes of Central and State Governments Create a transparent database of scholars Avoid duplication in payments Harmonization of different Scholarships schemes & norms Application of Direct Benefit Transfer

Benefits of National Scholarships Portal For States and Ministries Saving of Money, Effort and Time Can be implemented for State Scholarship Schemes also States need not procure any Hardware and Network Software. SBI/CANARA Bank Upload the File to PFMS Payment flow for NMMSS/NSIGS Applicants Login Applicants will fill up application form. School School will verify the information of Applicant. District Application verified by District Nodal Officer(Personal Details, Uploaded Documents etc. Ministry Ministry will sanction the scholarship amount & release d it to SBI/CANARA Bank. PFMS PFMS will check the Benificiary details & generate a response code. Finally , PFMS Disbursed the scholarship amount in applicants account. State State Nodal officer will finally verify the application & check availablity for no. of scholarship alloted to the state for particular scheme. SBI/CANARA Bank Upload the File to PFMS

School Login

Register Application First, You have to select Academic year .

Select Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS/NSIGS).

Show Registered Application In School Login, Admin can view scheme wise all Registered Application by clicking on Show Registered Application.

Register Application School can also Register Application at their end. There is scheme wise 19/20 column Performa for register application.

Upload Excel Data Even school can upload excel sheet (List of student in particular Performa) to register application. Note: Use .xls format for to upload excel sheet.

Application Verification For Application Verification, Select Academic year & Application type(Fresh/Renewal) then click on Get Application.

Get Application School will get the list of Registered applications for verification purpose.

Forward Applications Here school will verify applicant’s details & scanned documents then forward it to next level i.e. District Nodal Officer.

District Nodal Officer Login

Home Page Enter username, password & capture value, then click on Login button for login.

Register Application

District Nodal Officer will also able to:- 1.View Registered Applications 2. Register Applications in 19/20 column Performa 3. Upload excel sheet to Register Applications Same as shown above in School Login.

List of Application to be verified List of applications are displayed for verification by State Nodal officer

Forward Verified Application Here State Nodal Officer will verify applicant’s details & scanned documents & forward application for Confirmation from Ministry.

Generate Payment Request State Nodal Officer will click on Generate Payment Request. Select Academic Year, Scheme type & Fresh/Renewal (DBT). Press submit button.

List of Applications pending for Response After clicking on Submit button, State Nodal Officer will get List of application for Generate Payment Request.

Send List of Applications to PFMS State Nodal Officer will Create Payment Data File & send it to PFMS signing by Digital Signature.  

PFMS PFMS will check the Beneficiary details like Account Number etc. After Verification by PFMS, the beneficiary file would be visible to Ministry in their PFMS Login. Ministry will sanction the scholarship amount for eligible students & send the list of beneficiary(Payment File) to SBI/CANARA Bank. SBI/CANARA Bank will upload the payment file to PFMS for Disbursement.
