Pi Kappa Kappa Chapter Year in Review

ACHIEVEMENT WEEK 2005

Pi Kappa Kappa Chapter Talent Hunt Showcase Pi Kappa Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. located in Sicklerville, NJ is sponsored its 2006 High School Talent Hunt Saturday, March 4, The Omega Talent Hunt, adopted by the Fraternity as a nationally mandated program, supports and encourages talented youths in the area of Art, Dance, Drama, Musical Instrument and Vocals. The Talent Hunt also provides a platform for young people to develop their talent and acquire regional and national exposure. All high school students, grades 9 – 12 in South Jersey and surrounding areas were eligible to participate in the Talent Hunt showcase, which was at the Winslow High School Auditorium, 10 Cooper’s Folly Road, in Atco, NJ. Our 2006 Talent Hunt Winners: First Place Ms. Jocelyn Greer, Junior at Eastern High, piano$ Second Place Ms. Krystle Lennon, Senior at Winslow High, drama$ Third PlaceMs. Phylicia Brathwaite, Junior at Winslow High, vocals$ Total Prize Awards:$ All participants and MC received an Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt 2006 plaque ($300 donated by Bro. & Mrs. Wayne Harris) and $20.00 B&N gift certificate (Portions donated as well). All costs are outlined in the attached Expense Voucher. Detail items will be presented with final report. There were a total of 14 high school participants in the show, with 13 contestants and the MC, Master Sean King. Guest Performers were JOY Song, Joining Our Youth in Song, a community based young peoples choir, which included small children and a very talented pianist. There were three judges, two of which were secured by Bro. Harold Hill. One of the judges was the pianist for JOY Song.
