Presentation transcript:

Some P6 pupils have been trained in Peer Mediation. Peer Mediation is a meeting between two people who have fallen out. The two people will talk about what has happened and will agree what will happen next.

We promise to keep what you tell us private. We will need to speak to a teacher if we are worried about anything. We will tell you if this is going to happen.

You will have 3 chances to interrupt the other person. If you do interrupt 3 times we will have to stop the meeting You can come back when you have learnt the rules. You must listen to the peer mediators. Use a classroom voice, do not shout at each other.

Every day! Morning interval Lunchtime from 1pm until 1.20pm. Not during wet intervals and lunch.

Primary 1 and 2 Wait at the Friendship Stop The Friendship Stop is in the P1/2 playground near the large pencils. The peer mediators will help you.

Primary 3, 4 and 5 Room 3.10 (Mrs Gordon’s room). Come into the corridor through the doors from The Street. You have special permission to come in if you wish to see Peer Mediators. Remember you are not allowed in for any other reason.

Primary 6 and 7 Room 6.21 (Mr Rodger’s classroom). Come into the corridor through the doors from The Street. You have special permission to come in if you wish to see Peer Mediators. Remember you are not allowed in for any other reason.

Clare, Erin, Laura and Milla will now act out a short scene to demonstrate how Peer Mediation works.

Thank you for listening to our presentation. We hope you will remember to use peer mediation if you need it. If you have any questions please ask your teacher, a peer mediator, Mrs Gordon or Mrs Hughes. Remember you will find peer mediators at the Friendship Stop, in Room 3.10 and Room 6.21.
