How will I know what to do in class?? Middle school is kind of scary! You’ve got that right!

It’s not scary if you know what to do. Just listen to the teacher and you’ll be fine! It’s not scary if you know what to do. Just listen to the teacher and you’ll be fine!

important enter class learning lesson That seems easy! Is there anything else I need to know? If you started your day with a hug everything will be okay!

I hate to say anything but…..I need to know what “zero voice” means?

Yeah… I don’t want to get in trouble like Hagar’s dog. Hagar seemed upset and the dog did exactly what he asked.

Do you think Hagar expected to be thrown on the floor? I think he wanted his dog to sit on the floor.

I sure don’t want to get in trouble the very first week of school. This “zero voice” thing could be a real problem.

Many students get in trouble when they should be using “zero voice.” I think this happens because the student definition of “no talking” is different than mine…Let me explain.

Zero voice means absolutely no talking! But what if I’m just whispering? That can’t count….

Whisper means “to speak softly.” Whispering IS TALKING! Whispering is a #1 voice. So why were you upset when I just passed a note— writing is not talking.

Maybe I need to start again… “Zero voice” means NO COMMUNICATION. NO VERBAL COMMUNICATION. NO NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION.....Any more questions? Are you saying that we need to be rude to our friends?

What if Gator just needs a pencil and I’m loaning him one?...That can’t count as talking! Weren’t you listening?…We don’t loan materials. Everyone is responsible for their own supplies!— No Talking Means No Talking!!!!!!! Oh!

Calvin, you need to quit daydreaming… Lets get back to class; there is more to learn. Calvin, you need to quit daydreaming… Lets get back to class; there is more to learn.

You need to know what to do during class…Get ready to be a winner like me! instruction practice

I think I’ve got it now. I know what to do when I get to class and during class. Just a few more words of advise and you’ll be ready to go for the gold!

Not all of us want to go for the gold. Some of us just want to take it easy!

Yeah…yeah…the rubric told me my work was average. “We are free to choose our paths, but we can't choose the consequences that come with them.” ― Sean Covey, The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective TeensSean CoveyThe 7 Habits Of Highly Effective Teens “We are free to choose our paths, but we can't choose the consequences that come with them.” ― Sean Covey, The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective TeensSean CoveyThe 7 Habits Of Highly Effective Teens

General Procedures IS ABOUT….. How you Behave and what you Do during class.

Why did Calvin have to go to the principal’s office? Calvin needs to work on having a positive attitude! Being positive makes our class a better place to learn. I’d be so scared!!!! I need to remember to always show respect in class. I’d be so scared!!!! I need to remember to always show respect in class.
