Class blogs Every class in school has their own blog. If you ‘follow’ the blog you get an update whenever a new post is uploaded. It’s a great way to keep up to date with what is happening in the classroom. Let’s have a look at our class blog PRACTICAL: Can you post a comment now?

Internet safety Let’s do a quick quiz… 1) What’s your favourite film? 2) What’s your birthday? 3) What was your first pet called? 4) What’s your mum’s name? 5) What’s your favourite colour?

Internet Safety What do you think I can do with all that information? Guess passwords, log in to your accounts, buy things, post on your behalf, etc. I won’t of course.

Internet safety In class we look at ways in which children can ensure their own safety using computers PRACTICAL: Watch video Jigsaw This is also something you can do at home with your child by using the free resources on

Home wifi How many internet-ready devices do you have in your home? Computer? Smartphone? Games console? Kindle? TV? Wifi settings can be adjusted to restrict content

Learning online The internet isn’t all bad! Great learning websites are: Great learning apps are: Lightbot (Programming) Puppet Pals (Literacy) King of Maths (Mental Maths) Rising Stars – Achieve Level 4 Maths
