Guidelines for prayer after a spiritual assault Submit to God: With great caution and making sure we understand the battle is the Lord’s. We have to submit to God who is fighting on our behalf. (Ex.14:14) Declare His Name into the spiritual atmosphere: The LORD is a man of war; The LORD is His name. (Exodus 15:3 NKJV) Petition God to arise: The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies. (Isaiah 42:13 NKJV). And He beat back His enemies; He put them to a perpetual reproach. (Psalm 78:65- 66). Persevere: We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance… (Rom. 5:3)

REPOSITION … STAND… Rev 2:10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer… the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Overview on persecution Persecution is on the increase worldwide 2 Faces of persecution: Physical & emotional/mental Persecution in SA  Christianity and its viewpoints are made off as irrational, outdated and old-fashioned e.g. living together.  Our work is mocked, looked down on and said to be irrelevant in a modern world.  There is a measure of perversity coming down on the church as sin increases in the nation e.g. pornography.  Persecution from within the church itself: When the focus shifts away from the basic preaching of the man Jesus Christ as the WAY the TRUTH & LIFE. When the authority of the written Word of God is undermined. This happens when we put ourselves in a position where we discuss and judge things from Scripture without submitting ourselves to and allowing Scripture to penetrate our hears and change our lives.

Prayer about basic foundations of Church We must accept the main historical Christian doctrines which include: Jesus as God’s only Son who is fully God and fully man, born of virgin birth, without sin. (John 1:18, Rev.1:5). Jesus’ death and bodily resurrection and ascension to the Father’s right hand. (Heb.1:2-3, 12:2). The one true God exists in three persons (Trinity) as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (1John.6:5-9, NKJ & NASB). Salvation is by faith alone (Heb.11:1), through grace (Acts.18:27-28) alone and in Christ alone (Rm.3:24). (We cannot see it, work for it, or take another path/shortcut). The infallibility of Scripture as our final authority for all matters of faith and practice. (2Tim.3:16) The unity and diversity of the Body of Christ including all tribes, tongues and nations. (Rev.5:9).
