 Fire alarms can tell you if a fire is happening.  A fire alarm beeps.  Change fire alarm every ten years.  Change the alarm’s battery once a month.  Test your smoke alarm once a month.  Photo electric fire alarms are best.

 The H V P is also called the High Volume Pumper.  It carries the equipment.  It has one mile of six inch hoses.  It can give us 2100 gallons of water.

 Shoots out 1000 gallons per minute.  It goes up 105 feet.  Remote control cage.  The wheels have to be off the ground to be able to move.

 If the stove is on without anyone watching it, turn it off.  Move the heater away from curtains, sheets or blankets because they may catch on fire.  Don’t leave lit candles unattended.  Don’t play with matches.  Don’t use hairsprays or flammable objects around open flames.

 Put a fire alarm in your house  Have an escape plan if your house catches on fire.  Make sure to keep young children away from anything that is or can become flammable.  Practice your fire escape plan.  If your clothes catch on fire stop drop and roll.  If your house is on fire stay low.  If you hear the smoke alarm go off in your room put the back of your hand on the door to feel if it is hot.
