Dual Generation Strategy Meeting

About NOVA & ACP Vision/Mission  Deliver world-class in-person and online post-secondary teaching, learning, and workforce development to ensure our region and the Commonwealth of Virginia have an educated population and globally competitive workforce.  The ACP program is designed to serve adult students with demonstrated barriers to college access and success.  Including veterans, single parents, lower-wage workers, work- eligible immigrants, and unemployed and underemployed individuals.  ACP creates a pathway for adult students to earn a certificate, degree or other credential that may help them secure a better job with a path toward advancement and greater economic security.

Project Goals  100 adult low income females & early childcare providers.  A minimum of15 early childcare centers  125 direct impact to children  250 indirect impact on children  Goal to promote college readiness to the family as a whole.

Project Goals  Establish partnerships with childcare center in the community. (non and for profit)  Provide post-secondary education for non- traditional students  Encourage students to complete/receive credentials; (credit or non-credit)  Provide dual generational college centered works shops & services for both parents and students.
