Bethesda Children’s Hospital “The Real Transformers” Project : 2009

 Bethesda Children’s hospital in Budapest, Hungary is the only Christian Children’s Hospital in Central Europe

 It is owned by the Reformed Church of Hungary.  It has been a children's hospital for 142 years.

 Many of the children are admitted following accidents and have serious head injuries, burns or multiple fractures.

 Initially the children need intensive care and are often hooked up to many tubes and machines.

 Sometimes children are in the hospital for many weeks and as they get better they need physiotherapy and often need to learn to walk and talk again.

 Dr Bethesda says “we need to give love and care to the children as they recover”

 The hospital should be a place were children learn to play again. Play is part of the healing process.
