 We can use the candy wrapper model to help organize the structural components! Use this model to help organize your writing.

Candy Wrapper Model- Structural Components HOOK/INTRO Start broadly to engage reader. (Background info) BODY Brainstorm what stories, facts, quotes, etc. you want to include. Don’t forget support! CONCLUSION Restate point and leave audience with something memorable Clearly state your POINT for writing here! THESIS

Candy Wrapper Model The hook/introduction should hook the reader and state your point-like the wrapper of the piece of candy. The body should have reasons and support for the reader to savor–like savoring the sweet taste of the candy. The conclusion should restate your point and leave the audience with something to remember-like the wrapper that’s left after eating the candy.
