1 Laboratory Animals Limited: What we are LAL is a registered charity in the UK, whose aims are to promote education and training in laboratory animal science. We fund a range of initiatives in the field of laboratory animal science including bursaries to attend appropriate training courses, speakers at scientific meetings, financial assistance for workshops the proceedings of FELASA conferences and of course our journal, Laboratory Animals.

2 FUNDING Laboratory Animals Limited provides funding for a range of education and training initiatives in the field of laboratory animal science Individual scientists, who wish to attend training (courses) in laboratory animal science and welfare, can apply for bursaries from Laboratory Animals Limited For those researchers wishing to attend an international 2-week course in laboratory animal science, courses in English are a.o. provided at Utrecht University Laboratory Animals Limited can also cover travel expenses of international experts in laboratory animal science to speak at conferences.

3 FUNDING Developing world Initiatives Bring the Culture of the 3Rs to developing countries ‘Train the Trainer’ We provide funding for many initiatives aimed at improving education and training in laboratory animal science. The objective is to ‘Train the Trainer’ We have provided Bursaries in Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Kenya and many others.
