Steering Committee (SC) Chaired by the Head of the Project, consists of one representative from each Partner -the main decision-making body of the Consortium, in fields such as co-ordination and follow-up of the project and solution in common of any problems, readjustment of the partnership, budget absorption and financial settlements, major work-plan modifications, verification and validation of the products and outputs etc The Steering Committee meets on a regular six-month basis; all partners obligatorily participate

1 st Steering Committee meeting Padova, March 2013 Scientific and Technical Board The SIB designs the approach methodologies, while it is responsible for technical development issues, for monitoring the project progress and for supervising the implementation of the project’s Activities and actions included. The STB makes decisions concerning minor and medium modifications in the Work Packages, the Activities and the time- sheet, while it resolves problems regarding the carrying out of the project’s action.

1 st Steering Committee meeting Padova, March 2013 Project Monitoring Team The PMT is in charge with the measurement and internal evaluation process of the project, it continuously administrates all formal procedures for the achievement of project milestones and is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the project and for evaluating its on-going and final results and outputs. Ιt is coordinated by the Project’s Chief Coordinator and consists of experts of the major fields related to the project

1 st Steering Committee meeting Padova, March 2013 Experts Thematic Task Forces -Their role is to assist in producing, as well as in refining and validating, the progressive and final project’s outputs, through rendering specialized support to the partners (e.g. to comment in the design of a deliverable, to roughly evaluate its progressive form, to submit relevant proposals for improvements, to verify/validate its final edition form). -They participate in processes such as the use of the DELFI and/or Foresight methods, the operation (as aforementioned) of the PMT, etc. -In general, they operate in a flexible way and provide specialized consultancy to the partnership, facilitating effectiveness and supporting in-time and of a high quality performance of the project.

1 st Steering Committee meeting Padova, March 2013 Work Package Groups The WPGs are responsible for carrying out the work in each Component of the designed work-plan. They consist of contributors from the partners participating in each Work Package and are accordingly coordinated by Work Package Managers

1 st Steering Committee meeting Padova, March 2013 Activity Teams The (ATs) are in charge with the tasks and responsibilities of the Activities included in the work-plan. They consist of contributors from all partners participating in an Activity and are coordinated by Activity Leaders. Depending on each Activity’s specific needs, additional staff is involved, to secure effective implementation.

1 st Steering Committee meeting Padova, March 2013 The project management-coordination- monitoring system: A Project Management–Monitoring–Reporting System has already started being elaborated and will be soon placed in use: It will constitute a comprehensive mechanism providing for all significant aspects of managing such kind of projects. Indicatively: -Organisational Structure -Project Management and Implementation Instruments (roles, authorities, responsibilities etc.) -Job description of the main roles and positions (coordinators, experts, Work Package managers, Activity leaders, financial officers, etc.) -Main procedures -Archives-Forms-Documentation, etc.

1 st Steering Committee meeting Padova, March 2013 External Evaluation -will be subcontracted to an experienced, specified, reliable and widely recognized body; -will refer to both the project outputs and the project impact and will be conducted against quantitative and qualitative measurable and verifiable criteria. The evaluation will regard each Component and its main outputs and will also examine each partner’s real contribution. An interim evaluation process will be carried out, leading to a Recommendations Document, while the Final Evaluation will refer to the entire project implementation period.
