History/Background June 2009 – the idea/need for a South Asian Network emerged from a small group of International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET) program (World Bank/Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada) participants represented Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The small group meeting was convened on June 23, 2009 in Ottawa. Participants decided to research and provide feed back on the status of evaluation networks in their respective countries in South Asia. What is IOCOM? What is IOCOM? IOCOM is a web-based organization of professionals, academia and a strategic alliance of international, national and regional organisations (associations, societies and networks) engaged in the discipline of outcome management and development.

IOCOM Vision IOCOM Vision IOCOM vision is collaboration between professionals in outcome management and development, monitoring and evaluation associations, societies and networks to strengthen the theory and practice of the discipline.

IOCOM Mission (Mandate) IOCOM Mission (Mandate) The IOCOM seeks to elevate the status of the discipline of outcome and development management, support professionals, societies, associations or networks to facilitate their contribution to good governance driven by the quest for evidence informed decision making and strengthen the role of civil society.
