Team Assignment The Team Assignment involves the Turnaround Project simulation that is part of the required materials. PURPOSE –Analyze situation using theories –Apply theories to make decisions about what to do in future –Observe self and other team members to apply learnings about personality, motivation, team development OUTCOMES –Classroom presentation –Paper covering same materials. Up to 12 pages.

Team Assignment –Content – (equal weighting) [First Half] An analysis of strengths of the plant at the 3 levels (individual, group & organization) of analysis A description of critical concerns about the plant at the 3 levels of analysis (see above) Theories from this course that apply to the situation as you see it ( include all 3 levels – individual, group and organization) Better score if can find theories that can be applied across levels) A turnaround plan for the Bradford Plant (what are you proposing to do?)

Team Assignment –Content – (equal weighting) [Second Half] Which theories were the most relevant to your change program and why Your team and individual results on the various components of the simulation (simple reporting of results) Your experiences as a group in developing your answers with particular application of theories and models used in this course. Apply theories from course – try for subtlety Learnings, takeaways, transfer of training. (Basically, what are some lessons you intend to apply when you return based on the experience in this exercise. This tends to be an afterthought but it is one of the most important parts. )
