Physical Geography Norway's longest river is the Glomma river it is 610 km long (380 miles) Songefjord is the longest fjord in Norway and is 2nd largest in the world Mountains cover 3/5s of Norway The highest mountain in Norway is Glittertindeden and is 8,104ft (2,470 m) high The lowest point in Norway is the sea level along the coast! The biggest glacier in Norway is the Jostedal glacier and it is about 300 square miles.

Economy The economy is mostly based on fishing Almost 3 quarters of Norway's land is unproductive; less than 4% is under cultivation*, and the country imports over 50% of its food. Chief industries: Oil, petroleum, natural gas production, and shipping and trading. Mineral resources like lead iron ore copper, titanium, pyrite, and nickel. Ship building is another big part in the chief industries because businesses transport their goods by ships. *Cultivation: Cultivation means to prepare or prepare and use for the raising of crops

Religion The Evangelical Lutheran church is a major church in Norway because 88% of the Norwegians go to this church. They do this because it is a religious freedom The church lets Norwegians join any other church like a Methodist and Presbyterian church. One of the first evangelical Lutheran churches

Education Since the beginning of the 21 century, Norway’s education has been one of the highest educational levels in the world. Most children in Europe start school when they are six years old and go through 10 years of primary school. The academic goals in the school system in Norway try to teach the students the Christian and religion, Norwegian, Math, Social Studies, Arts and crafts, Natural sciences, English, Foreign language, Music, Food and Health, Physical education, and an optional subject the students choose.
