Overview Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions began in 2008 Sessions were held twice a week at the DMV for 8 hours each day Members included: DMV Personnel Department of Revenue Personnel DOT IT Personnel Tax Office County Representatives The Detail Design document was created and used to implement HB1779
Changes Incorporated by the DMV State Titling and Registration System (STARS) was enhanced to collect the vehicle property tax Confirmation of vehicle location is being made when registering a vehicle Titling forms were modified to include the vehicle location address Property tax information was added to the registration card Property tax and registration information were combined to create the new Combined Notice Vehicle Property Tax Estimator Tool was implemented
STARS State Titling and registration system Titling and Registration Screens where enhanced to capture: Vehicle location address The taxing county’s name and phone number where taxes are being collected Option to pay property tax or receive a Limited Registration Plate (LRP) Provide an estimate of vehicle property tax due Provide an estimate of interest on property taxes and registration fees for late renewals A financial record of vehicle property tax and/or any interest collected
