1.) Closed Shop Employer agrees to hire only union members

2.) Fact-finding An agreement between the union and management to have a neutral 3 rd party collect facts about a dispute & present nonbinding recommendations

3.) Giveback Is a wage, fringe benefit, or work rule given up when a contract is renegotiated

4.) Grievance procedure A provision for resolving issues that may come up later-may be included in the final contract

5.) Arbitration A process by which both sides agree to place their differences before a 3 rd party whose decision will be accepted as final
