Agriculture Science and Mechanics Program Grade LevelCourseGoals 7 th and 8 th Grade ½ year matched with Life Skills Mechanical Drawing Develop skills to transfer between 2D and 3D Gain interest in mechanics and applied knowledge 9 th Grade ½ year matched with Digitools Fundamentals of Ag. Science and Mechanics Develop skills in using hand tools and power tools Gain entry level knowledge in Agriculture Science Provide Agriculture Science knowledge for every student. 10 th Grade Elective Introduction to Ag. Science and Mechanics Apply the skills in using hand tools and power tools Gain proficient level knowledge in Agriculture Science Explore several specialized areas of Agriculture Science 11 th and 12 th Grade Elective Ag. Science and Mechanics Complete projects using hand tools and power tools Gain an advanced level knowledge in Agriculture Science and Mechanics Specialize in an area or multiple areas of Agriculture Science and Mechanics

Grant Funding Two Grants: 1.Career and Technical Education – $10,000 Increase the quality and rigor of secondary career and technical education, Improve links to postsecondary education, encourage and facilitate academic instruction through career and technical courses, and Expand access to and awareness of the opportunities offered by high quality career and technical education. 2.Course Equivalency Grant - $3,000 To provide more fully the academic and career and technical skills of secondary education students and post secondary students who elect to enroll in career and technical education programs.

FFA Part of the C.T.E. Grant is to explore and visit successful FFA programs in Eastern Washington. Develop a plan to create a successful FFA program that is competitive and provides for the needs of students and the community Develop a way for the program to be self- supporting. Develop the Leadership aspect of FFA into every course.
