Sarah Weeks was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has been writing children's picture books and novels for twenty- five years. She is a graduate of Hampshire College and NYU and is an adjunct faculty member in the Writing Program at the New School University in New York City.

Sarah Weeks is well known for her Early Readers, Picture Books, Middlegrade Chapter Books and Novels for Middlegrade and Young Adult readers. Her two newest titles are Mac and Cheese (an I CAN READ book), and Pie. Oggie Cooder, Oggie Cooder, Party Animal. Her 30 picture books include such favorites as Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up her Wash and Crocodile Smile as well as two new contributions, Sophie Peterman Tells the Truth, and Woof, A Love Story. Sarah Weeks' titles have sold well over a million copies.

Although she lives with her mentally disabled mother, and Bernadette. Heidi has a lucky streak that has a way of pointing her in the right direction.
