2 What is a domain? A domain is a logical group of users on the same network or computer that is linked to the Internet. uses domains, as shown below: HostDomain server1google.com wwwyahoo.com mailaol.com PBX Domains pbx.companya.com pbx.companyb.com pbx1.companya.com snom ONE also relies on domains to implement its multi-tenant functionality (limited to snom ONE blue only). 4 Multiple Domains with the Same Account Numbers The same account numbers can be used by multiple domains on the same system.

5 The special “localhost” domain  The domain “localhost” matches all unknown domains.  “localhost” is used for simple installations and is automatically created during installation.  If set, when a SIP packet comes into the system, the system does not look after sign as it tries to match the domain to the account, i.e., (sees 101 and looks for a match).  Keep “localhost”―Don’t change it if you don’t have to.
