Business Germany is economically the most important member of the European Union. Germany is the third largest industrial nation in the world. Germany is the fifth largest trading partner with the U.S. More than 750 U.S. companies do business with Germany.

Did you know!? Science Facts. German is important for scientists and students. Many scientists in the USA recommend the study of German. Germany has the leading position in global scientific research.

German Scientists Many famous scientists were German: Albert Einstein and his Theory of Relativity Hans Geiger developed the Geiger counter. Werner Heisenber helped develop Atomic bomb for Germany. Wernher von Braun developed the V-2 rocket and Germany’s space program. And numerous others!

Politics Political Organizations have international ties and need German Speakers. Diplomatic affairs with Europe would be greatly improved if our politicians spoke German. Diplomats to Germany and one of the many other German speaking countries are needed by our government.
