Road Signs We use signs to tell people rules. We also use signs to give people information.

The ‘No entry’ sign is on the door. It means ‘You mustn’t go in here.’
The ‘MTR’ sign is above the MTR station. It means ‘You can take the MTR here.’
The ‘Taxi’ sign is beside the road. It means ‘You can take a taxi here.’
The ‘No smoking’ sign is at the restaurant. It means ‘You can’t smoke here.’
The ‘School’ sign is beside the road. It means ‘There is a school nearby. Drivers must drive carefully.’
The ‘Restaurant’ sign is above the restaurant. It means ‘You can eat here.’
The ‘No parking’ sign is beside the road. It means ‘You can’t park your car here.’
