Grouping by Intensity: Tier 2 Current Recommendations Early Literacy (K-3)or (K-6) – an additional 30 minutes of targeted instruction should be provided beyond the core with homogeneous groups of 3-5 student, 3-4 days per week Adolescent Literacy (4-12) Homogeneous instruction can be provided to groups as large as 10 to 16 students for minutes per day or one class period, 3-4 days a week
