This is our story of Abraham Lincoln.
Abe Lincoln was our 16 th President.
Abe was born February 12, 1809, in a log cabin in Kentucky. Abes Family moved to Indiana when he was 7.
Abes mom Nancy died when he was nine and Abes dad, Thomas remarried a woman named Sarah Bush Johnston. They lived in Indiana. Abe Lincoln became a lawyer.
Abe got married to Mary Todd. Mary and Abe Lincoln had four sons. Their names were Robert, Edward, Willie and Tad. Picture of Abe Lincoln and his youngest son Tad.
On March 4, 1861, Abe became the 16th President of America.
President Abraham Lincoln did not want slaves. The south wanted slaves but the north did not.
The Civil War began in The North won in Then the Civil War came and America split.
On Good Friday, April 14, 1865, Abe and Mary Lincoln went to the Ford Theater to see a play.
Abe was shot by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865 at the Ford Theater. He died the next morning at 7:22.
Abraham Lincoln will always be remembered as a great American hero.
