HOW SHOULD YOU APPLY? You MUST come to the Year 9 Options evening, talk to the staff from the relevant college & put your name down on their list You will be asked to complete an application form which MUST be returned by the deadline you are given Your parents will be invited to an information meeting You will be required to attend an interview at the college/training provider. Your parents will be asked to come with you.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOUR APPLICATION SUCCESSFUL? You must return your application by the deadline You must attend for the interview You must convince the school & the college that you have the commitment to complete an extra course, over 2 years, on top of your GCSE programme

No, most students will travel independently by bus Q. What about the work I miss while I’m at college? A. It will be up to you to see the relevant teacher & get work to catch up on at home Q. If I change my mind, can I drop out? A. No, once you are accepted on to a course you must continue for the two years
