Convection. Desciption: Heat that moves through a material by actual movement of the material or circular heat flow in a fluid (gas or liquid). Radiation or radiant energy. Description: Heat that is transmitted through space and is not carried by matter or Heat radiation is called infrared radiation (describing radiation). Additional Information: Heat moves from matter at a higher temperature to matter at a lower temperature. Convection currents are the movements of the material (fluid) such as breezes or air circulation in a heated room or over warm bodies of water or material in Earths mantle. Infrared and X-rays are electromagnetic waves. LEAP
