The 5 Measurements of Metrics Distance – meters Volume- liters, or cm3 Mass- grams Time- seconds Temperature- degrees Celsius/Kelvin

Distance is measured in meters 1 meter = 100 cm 1 meter = 1000 mm 1 meter = 1,000,000 micrometers 1 meter = 1,000,000,000 nanometers 1 meter = 39 inches

Volume 1 liter = 1000 ml 1 liter = 32.2 ounces (oz)

Mass 1 gram = 1000 mg 1 gram = the size of a paperclip

Time 1 second = 1000 ms 60 seconds = 1 min. How many seconds in 1 Hour?

Temperature Temperature is measured in Degrees Celsius or Kelvin Degrees Celsius ˚C = (˚F – 32)/ 1.8 K = ˚C + 273
