 The tar pools are in Hancock Park in Los Angeles, California.

 The pits are filled with tar that has been coming up for thousands of years.  It is a place were you can see bones from the Ice Age.  It is pits where animals got stuck in and then when another animal wanted to eat that animal, it got stuck to.

 Between 1913 and 1915 they stared to dig for fossils.  In 1977 George C. Page Museum opened.  Now they have millions of fossils.

 Opened between 9:30 am and 5 pm,  It costs children it is 5$ and adults it is 12$,  Includes a guided tour; There are tours at 1 pm and 3 pm.
