TOPS QUALIFICATION Check the LEADS Report.  OPPORTUNITY AWARD:  ACT – 20, SAT – 940  2.5 GPA in 19 core courses  PERFORMANCE AWARD:  ACT – 23, SAT – 1060  3.0 GPA IN 19 core courses  Additional $400 per year  HONORS AWARD:  ACT- 27, SAT – 1210  3.0 GPA in 19 core courses  Additional $800 per year (See handout for a list of the TOPS Core courses)

SCHEDULING PROCESS Class of 2014  Students receive marked cards 4/15.  Counselors work with students on 4/15.  Students return signed schedule cards on 4/19. Class of 2015  Students receive marked cards 4/17.  Counselors work with students on 4/17.  Students return signed schedule cards on 4/19.

Summer To Do List Class of 2014  ACT prep – Retake ACT in September  College visits/choices  Resume  Evaluate TOPS GPA (Consider repeat/delete)  Begin college application process  Use Louisiana Connect Class of 2015  Start building list of colleges/careers and gathering information.  Organize information in a folder.  Practice for the ACT.  Volunteer or get a summer job.
